Blyth Academy Mississauga – Adamson
” My son went to Blythe Lakeshore Campus and received the highest marks to date due to the wonderful and helpful teachers and staff, and the very small class sizes. Our experience has been nothing but amazing and memorable. Our son is now off to University. Thank you Blythe for making this possible. “
” My son had an excellent experience at Blyth Mississauga for his final two years of high school. We came to Blyth Adamson after a frustrating time at our local public school. Though well intentioned, the class and school size made it difficult for parents and students to get timely, relevant feedback and our son was just becoming disengaged. He would show up at the scheduled Math Help hours to often find a locked door and no note. His math teacher would take weeks to return tests, long after other units had been taught and tested. They cancelled a 6 wk Literacy Test prep without notice, so we showed up at 7am to no one. How long can you do that to students before they start believing they are not important? Since he made the choice to attend Blyth we have had teachers and support staff who are invested in his success. He has responded with a much more organized and strong work ethic and, most importantly, confidence in his abilities. His average rose 15% from high 70s in gr. 10 to low 90s, now graduating gr. 12 with several offers for great universities in science streams. This increase in marks will not happen without the work on the part of the student. They cover two courses every 10 weeks, so there is no room to procrastinate. However, having the support, timely feedback and, most importantly, open access to the teachers and support staff gave our son the boost to keep at it. “
